    today we frst made a recap of what we had said previously (oral recap of 3 pieces of news).

    Then we finished studying the slide show and completing your worksheet.

    You looked for new vocabulary in your texts (crossword puzzle) and you had to highlight all the irregular verbs and classify them in a list.

    Homework:

    - préparez-vous à un contrôle écrit de leçon / vocabulaire d'ici la fin de la semaine, ou début semaine prochaine.

    - suivra un contrôle de fin de séquence. Tâche finale: rédiger un court article de presse sur un événement de l'été et en enregistrer une version audio pour une radio.

  • Hi guys,

     

    today we first made a quick recap of what we had said earlier. We classified the type of news you could remember and then continued with the lesson.

    Here is what you said:

     

    The document is a compilation of news reports about the summer news. There are many categories (music, sports, accidents, ...).

     

    Then we started to watch a powerpoint slideshow and worked on how to express a past situation. We also saw how to pronounce correctly the /ed/ ending of regular verbs.

    Homework:

    - travailler le nouveau vocabulaire présent dans les articles et le reporter dans votre carnet de vocabulaire.

    - être capable de parler d'au moins 3 faits marquants qui ont eu lieu cet été. Ne vous contenter pas de donner le titre mais essayer de développer en faisant au moins 2 ou 3 phrases (vous pouvez apprendre par coeur les morceaux d'articles déjà étudiés).

  • Summer Holidays - The newsHi guys,

     

    today after introducing ourselves very briefly and talking about the blog and the English class, we started the first lesson of the year about: "The Summer Holiday News".

    You first had to guess the topic of the lesson by listening to the following document and trying to find the link between the different parts.

     

    You can listen to it again below:

     

     

    You successfully identified the best-selling record of the summer: "Get Lucky", by Daft Punk a French band!

    Can you identify the rest? (you mentioned: George, the royal baby; sports, and a hold-up in a hotel. What else can you find?)

     

    Here is what we wrote:

     

    Lesson: Summer News

    1- The Royal Baby: ... (great grand-son of Queen Elizabeth II)

    2- Sport: ... (football match?)

    3- The Hold-up: ... (in hotel in Cannes, 32 million pounds)

     

    We'll complete and finish this next time. Until then, take care.

    - lire, signer, et faire signer le contrat de classe (p. 2)

    - faire remplir et rapporter l'autorisation de droit à l'image

    - ré-écouter le document étudié en classe et se préparer à pouvoir en parler (de quel type de document s'agit-il?  qui est mentionné? de quoi parle-t-il? ...)
